its a question of knowing your limitations ...........i can only do so much before my spinal injuries become too painful to carry on ................i try to limit my work between 10.00 and 03.00 pm with a lunch break in between it's all too easy to overdo things as i'm sure you know only too well...........still i end up doing far too much for my own good most of the time ............but it gets too boring otherwise.

yes neville i totally agree with you there mate...
its the pacing i cant get the hang of..
but like you say it keeps the boredom at bay..

yes mate,did mine nearly 17 years ago and still cant get used to it....

just turned my head too far one day about 4 years ago, damaged the discs in my neck and they are the ones that join the muscles on my shoulders so buggered both at the same time, had an operation on the left shoulder to give me more movement that side (i'm left handed) the rest is a bit of a mess my left shoulder is 2 inches lower than the right and has more movement.

still i guess its all part of life, it could be worse for a long while i could not reach the top kitchen cupboards at all ............good job there was only tinned food in there now i can eat my beans

the secret is to learn to adapt to what you can do, if i'm careful i can do most things for a short time, i can still lift 100 kilo's ................once a day...................

Wow 100 kilo's you need to spend some of that money and make your wallet lighter mate.

Great work Neville glad to see you managed to sort the pump out, the bow top is very smart, my neighbour has one in his garden not as good as that, come to think there's alot about around here the same as horses just about every other field has cobs in them. Sounds like you have a great gang and a hobby to keep you out the house so you don't vegitate like a lot that can't work.

Sounds like you have an ideal set-up there. If only you were closer, I'd join you myself. There are some great projects coming out of your workshop. Keep it up.

thanks guys, after taking my Petter A1 to 3 rallies I have come to the conclusion that these wheels are way too small



so thanks to forward planning with the trolley building i was able to remove the axle blocks from the Lister D (which i doubt will see a rally this year) and fit the big wheels to the Petter...................



hopefully it will be easier to move on wet grass without sinking in up to the axles on soft ground..............small wheels are ok on small lightweight kit but for engines bigger I hope will be better.

Nice looking trolley Neville, I'm sure the bigger wheels will make it a lot easier to move. The smaller wheels are like you've said ok for small engines or pumps etc.
