My new Stationary engine
I have here what I think is an Amanco Hired man. The reason I say think is that it seems smaller than the Hired mans I've seen at the shows and on the spec plate on says 3/4 hp although that might just be a mistake?

It's a Hit and Miss engine as there is only one mixture needle on the carb! does anyone know where to get a manual for one of theys because I couldn't see anything in SEM. Also its after 1917 as it has a goose neck picker.

Re: My new Stationary engine
are you sure its a hired man ???
I believe hired mans was 2 1/4 hp and a chore boy was 1 3/4 so you might have a chore boy with the 1 which is either not there or worn off the plate .
just a thought , matt

Re: My new Stationary engine
Judging by the slight curves on the hopper then i'd agree that it's a chore boy. Nice little engine.
