Re: WORK HAS STARTED ON MY 1931 LISTER A
Well my garage is starting to look like santas worshop!
I have got bits everywhere!
Progress is good though, and I gotta get this finished for my first rally in six weeks.
Some more pictures below for you.
H2 pump wheels now painted and rubber paint on the flat face.
Priming pipe made but have had to drop off back axle to get it on!
The wheels for the Lister A are now getting painted with rubber paint on the face, and will be m id brunswick in the centres.
Started varnishing tonight of the Lister A trolley, That grain has come up "Ansome"!!
Cheers

I assume you mean the ones that are on the top and end Mike? No I havent, mate they are like trying to get rocking horse poo!
The ones on the top of mine are steel, so I cleaned then and painted them black. I would love to find some brass ones!

Re: WORK HAS STARTED ON MY 1931 LISTER A
Hi Mart,
Great looking trolly there, a lot of hard work has went into that.
Im looking forward to seeing the whole kit and kabodle.
Just a small thing, and i dont mean to nit pick so please dont think that. When you screwed the 1939 and Lister to the trolly, did you have all the screw slots going the same way?
Paul

Re: WORK HAS STARTED ON MY 1931 LISTER A
Great job Mart well done. I know you said about the screw heads facing the same way well I watched a programme on tv about the Americans doing car restorations after every rally they stripped the cars, rebuilt them and yes every srew head faced the same way.

Re: WORK HAS STARTED ON MY 1931 LISTER A
No I wont be rushing it Jonesey, if I dont get it done then it simply wont be going, but I am putting in 5 - 6 hours a nite on her to try and get it finished.
Hydrolic engine lifter coming tomorrow to put it on its new trolley.
Got all the cast lettering done last night in red.
water slide transfers to go on, new fuel pipes, fix tank and new brass straps down and we should be there.
Stainless steel water tank for the H2 pump should be with me today as well, so once this is on and fitted thats another job completed.
Cant believe how many hours I have put in on this one!!!, but its gonna be worth it when its all completed.
Regards
Martin.

Re: WORK HAS STARTED ON MY 1931 LISTER A
I know you'll be pleased to see it finished but not as much as your missus
I have to agree with his Lordship and don't rush things if possable leave the easy jobs till last but you need the painting done so it has plenty of time to dry.
So whats next Mart or you having a holiday first.
