Stuart AF2 Pump Advice Needed

I have just purchased a Stuart AF2 water pump and have stripped it for cleaning. The piston has two rubber 'O' rings rather than leather cups and when I reassemble it the pump seems very stiff when rotated by hand, this stiffness is not present until the piston is installed so I know it's not any other component. The 'O' rings seem in good condition but are not a tight fit in the grooves on the piston.

Does anyone know of a parts supplier for these older Stuart pumps?

The stiffness I believe was caused by a combination of the installation of wrongly sized piston 'O' rings and because the pump had not run for a while it was very dry inside. After the installation of two new 'O' rings and some lubrication the pump turns over nicely.

It is now rebuilt with a lick of paint. Can anyone tell me if it's OK to run these piston pumps in either rotation?

Just got to get it onto a small trolley or some skids.
