after a lot of looking, I've finally got a small Fairbanks morse . this will have to wait until the others are finished. sometimes you just have to buy it when it turns up.

it runs very well, I will give it a overhaul during the winter. I'll think about a repaint later.

the bearers that the engine are sat on are softwood, the large piece of wood it is sat on in the picture is a piece of hardwood. this has now been cut to size and the engine is now sat on hardwood bearers.

the bearers for the engine are hardwood. the trolley is 3.5 x 1.5" softwood stained to match the hardwood.
