Lister D wanted

Being new to stationary engines I am looking for an engine as a first project.
Work is not objected to but no gravel pit weathered rubbish please. I am located in South Essex and am prepared to travel a reasonable distance to view.
Please help, I'm fed up with Flea Bay and would prefer to deal with a real person.

Hi Bulto - I hear you! - Fleabay becomes a tad painful! - I'm getting much better luck using SEM or the Old Glory website to identify local clubs and rallys and walking the line - always a 'd' or two for sale - at GDSf there were 5 I saw for sale in good condition (oily rags at approx £50-70) 3 in prime restored condition (too expensive at over £200 each!)and 3 rotters! (same money as the oily rags!) - saldy I'm not looking for a 'd' as I already have a rotter in my shed awaiting motivation, space and time.... Happy hunting!

Thank you for your encouragement. I will find an engine, as I said I don't mind one that needs work having rebuilt outboards, motorcycles and old boat engines, I just want another challenge.
