Float bowl top wanted for lister D
Hi, Would anyone have a Amal float bowl lid for a lister D that they would part with? Lid only needed. Thanks

Great stuff, thanks. I'll measure up tomorrow and get back to you.
Many thanks for your help.
That's a extremely nice engine by the way, some hours went into that one I can see

Hello Flywheel I had a look and measured the internal threaded dia. of the float bowl this morning, it measures 43.5 mm. Hopefully the one you have on offer will do the job
If so I'd be very happy to pay you for it and the postage.
I'll see how to send a personal message to you with my address and if you give me your address I'll send on some cash or if you wish I can do a bank transfer.
I'll be very happy to get the carb top as this will let me get another engine that been lying here unloved for probably more than fifty years as part of my late fathers collection.
He sometimes used to do a trade with the mobile local scrap dealers his scrap or a payment for an engine.

Still looking for a float bowl top got to be the the 43.5 or there about size or alternatively A float bowl assembly complete, smaller diameter type assembly also good.

Chuffchuff, I will see if I have a spare, most of mine are complete which I don't want to split from a carburettor.

Re: Float bowl top wanted for lister D
Many thanks Maryalice, Totally understandable that you don't want to split a complete assembly. I don't really want to buy a complete carb. I could turn up a lid on the lathe but its just the time involved to do so, it would be an enjoyable project but I've currently too many other projects on the go. I think we need more hours in a day. Old age has sapped the enthusiasm needed to endure the now fairly cold workshop.

Chuffchuff,
Sadly I don't have any spare bowls or caps.

OK Thanks, I'm sure one will turn up soon likely on eBay, plenty other stuff to do on the engine before I need the float bowl lid. Thanks again.
