Re: 2 new engines
Looks like a later 2S so I imagine that it has the Zenith carb fitted?

Re: 2 new engines
Dave just because you can't get the parts strait away just put it to one side you will find them in the end.
I waited 2 years for an igniter for an engine I was restoring ,and in the same week on e bay 2 come up for sale, I now have a spare.
Never give up that's what it's all about.

Re: 2 new engines
Exactly Jonesey, at lot of engines that come up for sale is because people can't find the parts so they say spares or repair, only advice I can give you Dave is buy perfect engines or get a bit of patiance to wait for the spares to turn up. It would have been a waste to skip it as is any engine, better of selling it for spares or breaking it and selling the parts.

Re: 2 new engines
I understand Dave, there's different types of stationary engine men, some that like a challenge of finding/making parts for engines, some that don't mind fault finding and repairing (me), some that enjoy painting and polishing and some that buy them all done and only want to put petrol in. At the end of the day were all a bit different but as long as we enjoy it that's the main thing.
