Hi, I have a Petter A1 that I have acquired for a project. My first job is to see if it starts and runs. I was assured that it does by the guy I bought it from. I have a plug and ht lead ready to be fitted, I will fit a temporary petrol pipe and will make a new starting handle. The help i need here is for the governor . The top link is a piece of string! Please can someone give me the length of the top link rod so i can make one. Once done I will try to start it. The engine is to be used to power a model locomotive. It will drive a 100a alternator that will then power four 24v motors to drive the wheels. It will look like a quarry loco.

Cheers

Julian
