New to the forum
Hello to all,
I must admit that Motorcycles are my first love, and have been since I bought my first one in 1959, but at the age of 83 I am plagued with arthritus in my hands so I had to give up riding a few years ago, I have a small workshop with a screw cutting lathe , milling machine, and all the usual items such as bench drill, bandsaws, and grinders. Now with no motorcycles left I am now looking for other hobbies to keep me occupied and am now searching for a stationary engine project, I would welcome any advise on what to look for, the Lister D seems very popular, and I would welcome comments and advise from the forum members on other alternatives.
I am based in God's own county of Yorkshire (South)
regards to all
Peter

Hello and welcome!
The lister D is certainly the 'default' first engine, made in large numbers with plenty of small variations and plentiful parts. It sounds like you have the equipment and skills to possibly plump for something a little more challenging though?

Hi Peter and a warm welcome to the forum.
If you are looking for a project I have a Douglas SV54 on which work has stalled.

I did purchase new rings and it now has good compression and spark. PM me if interested - I'm not to far away.
