JAP MODEL 34 carb float
Hi all, before I go hunting all over the web. has anyone got a float for the Amal carb that is on a JAP MODEL 34 engine, one that is in carb at the moment has seen better days it looks like some numpty has tried to put the float chamber top back on without making sure the float needle is not going in to where it is supposed to go in the carb top.
The one fitted has a copper float, but from memory I can remember there was also a type that had a black rubber/plastic float body not sure if the fit is the same though. carb is
on this mower
PM me please will pay any costs, just found these numbers on carb. inlet stub, 379/86

A picture of the float rather than the mower might help us and a few dimensions as well.

Re: JAP MODEL 34 carb float
Anyone with any knowledge of the JAP 34 engine will know what float is needed, as existing float is damaged what would the use of a photo be. the Amal carb. number is also stated in my first thread will repeat it just in case you did not read it, its a 379/86 Amal carburettor

I think a photo of the damaged float would be of interest; especially to someone with a float fetish.

Re: JAP MODEL 34 carb float
I have amal spare parts from other engines but as I have no interest in Air cooled engines of any sort and I apparently cant help even though I might have what you need I will keep them to myself.
I'm sorry to have wasted your sorry my time in trying to assist you.

Re: JAP MODEL 34 carb float
Might be worth giving these chaps a call to see if they can suggest an alternative.
