Found Something For The Amanco To Run
Was on the look out for something for the Amanco to run and out of the blue this fell in my lap (lol and yes it hurt), a few of you will know who had it and did the great job on the trolley, should look pretty good together and should get an airing this Monday all being well

Re: Found Something For The Amanco To Run
Managed to source a new tank for the pump last week (came in the yard) so with that in mind thought id redo all the pipe work too as not to keen on the galvanised set up (like a bit of copper), so managed to source some 35mm copper pipe and fittings and with a bit of soldering the jobs almost complete just the legs for the tank to make then a coat of paint, will put some pics up tomorrow

Re: Found Something For The Amanco To Run
That's a great looking set up and some real craftsmanship on the trolley - one question Ihave been meaning to ask is what kind of head of water can those pumps lift - any ideas? And when they have lifted it how far will they reasonably pump up ( in terms of bar pressure or metres/ feet) no other reason to ask but curiosity!
Either way you will no doubt enjoy it!

Re: Found Something For The Amanco To Run
to be fair we dont actually know Hamish i have the bigger brother of this pump and while pumping if you put your hand in the tank near the pipe it sucks your hand to the pipe and its a bit of a pull to get hand off the pipe .StewartH wrote:That's a great looking set up and some real craftsmanship on the trolley - one question Ihave been meaning to ask is what kind of head of water can those pumps lift - any ideas? Re: Found Something For The Amanco To Run
Managed to get the legs cut and welded and then welded to the tank slight cock up as on the first weld to the tank had power up to high and put a very small hole in the tank but no big deal as managed to weld it shut again lol, wood supports cut and sorted, then managed to give a couple of coats of primer to all the metal work then this afternoon a coat of black to the inside now just need to give it a couple of days before start painting the outside, pics to follow
