What's the colour of yours?

Hi again,
Its that new boy, Keith Rees.
As to our Petter A1. What colour should it be?
As the serial number is 347052, I've read somewhere that this makes the manufacture date to 1945/6?
I've also read that someone took over the Petter manufacture, under licence, around 1951 and started to paint the engines black.
Previously they would have been green.
Of the little paint that is still on the engine, it appears to be black and yet the carburettor shows signs of green paint.
Confused? I should say!
