H1 pump washers Empty H1 pump washers

I have a lister H1 pump that will not pump I have refitted the rubber washers that came with it but they will not seal. the seetings seam ok.
Should th washers be leather?

The washers that I have for mine appear home made. They look to be cut out of something like a conveyor belt. But I think they should be leather originally.

Hi, they are rubber or neoprene, theres usually some on ebay, however mine are made out of old rubber conveyor belt, ive done a few like that and they work fine, in what way is not pumping ?, not at all poor flow or ?,
