hi can any one help .i have just bought a 1923 (so iv been told) listeter a, but it does not have a starting handle . there are some on ebay but i dont know what im looking for as im new to this,if anyone could post a link for the type i need i would be greatfull . excuse my ignorance but what do i run it on . shurley not unleaded. thanks.. paul..........

Unleaded is what to use, lead was only added to the fuel with the introduction of higher compression engines to produce a higher RON and to reduce pre-ignition, stationary engines run at fairly low compression ratios, they would have used unleaded from new, typical between 20 and 50 RON.

hi paul...
this is what you are looking for,if you buy a new one it wont be that cheap.this one will be fine.if its the wrong rotalion then its a mater of changing the little dog in the handle around the other way,its easiy to do,ive done it many times...click on the listing below...
