Re: MY SONS WD1....
The WD1's a nice looking engine, I had a WD2, similar state, well mine was in bits.
I quite like the look of the WD1's now used to prefer the WD2's
Got you hands full there! havnt had one like that for a while!
Cheers Steve

Re: MY SONS WD1....
hold on mate..im a lot slower now a days due to my problem...
you mite have to wait a while for the smoke rings..
i need a large tap to tap a thread in the block for the exhaust,as the one in the engine is very well worn....
im hoping someone has one and it is possible to do,other wise im in the poo...
will have to see what i can do,some one must have one...
regards...mike...

CHRIS...
you know why Ive slowed down as of late, wish i didn't have to but cant do much about that....
but it would be nice to get it finished and onto the rally field...
i think im going to buy engines that don't need that much work from now on,as its going to be easier for me...

and how old is your son ? .... its like a bug once you have 1 you want more , ive already got plans on a extension on the back of workshop to store more engines in when i run out of space , i would say im good for around 5 maybe 6 in the workshop . But i would ideally like a Petter m a smaller one preferably a hopper cooled one .... one day . as on this subject does anyone know how wide they are ? as the 1.5 hp ones ?
sorry t go off topic
cheers , matt

Re: MY SONS WD1....
HI MATT....
steady on there you nearly went of topic....LOL...LOL...
as for my sons age,hes now 16 and has been around engines since he was 3years old,but him and his 2 brothers have had there own engines for about 5years or so ,but his 2 older brothers have now given up as they have wives and children, one has 1 son and his other brother has 2 sons with another child on the way..so its only me and him at the rallies, but hes told me tonight he has a girlfriend now,so i guess its only a matter of time before he losses interest in the engines...i don't want to force them to show the engines as it mite drive them away from them for good.....im hoping that they mite want to start showing engines at a later date.....i suppose there is one blessing that comes out of the situation,i wont have to haul all there engines about for them and will save me on fuel...LOL..LOL..oh well we will see what happens....
regards...mike....

Re: MY SONS WD1....
HI MATT...
sounds like you have it all under control....
well done,a man that knows what he wants...
sounds like my back yard...3 sheds, all slabbed for easy movement of the engines...
even with 3 sheds i still need more room, but i think its the same with all of us...
the more sheds/workshop space we have the more we fill it...
regards...mike...
