This is the first time that a Pool engine and rack bench have been run together in preservation. After a lot of trial we got the bench working quite well. On Sunday we cut the Ash shaker bars for my Pool thresher that I should be showing at the Great Dorset.
The engine is mine and the rack bench is Alec Chambers.
This was the first time I've had the engine running at full power!! We had to fix a forklift to the front to keep it from moving together!

The owner has never taken the bench out, this is the first time it's been used in many years. The bench is in three sections.

Ted is definitely better now and had a good weekend.
We spent two days getting the bench out and setting it up, we had many problems aligning it all up. We also had to try different blades as most weren't right, it the end I got my new blade from home. That sorted it! It was a hard working weekend and I fell tired now, I'm on the computer to you guys when I should be in the workshop working on the Benz Sad
