Years ago the transformer from a flori tube could be used to create a spark to use on our engines. This would also be used along with a battery not necessarily a 12 volt source. Problem is, I can’t remember how to wire it up Embarassed
Any of you peeps can guide me please?
Meanwhile I’ll keep searching
Thank you in advance

You get a spark across the points no a spark plug 😉

Indeed for use with low tension ignition systems only. It's not a transformer either (as there is no secondary coil), it's a choke (sometimes called a ballast, or inductor).

Depending on what you want to get running you can also use an automotive coil and a battery on a magneto thats got a dead coil if thats something which will help you out.
