ListerD fuel tank
Had to get a replacement tank for the for a Lister D, should there be anything between the tank and the engine block, like padding etc.

I fitted rubber on mine. You may find my restoration blog useful

I think they had felt strips tucked vertically between the actual tank and head, most I have stripped have had the remains of it. I use cork strip purely because that's what I had at the time!

As Pete said, should be a felt pad between the tank and the head, I have, in the past not fitted these and found the tank would "drum" when the engine was running and when removing the fuel cap any mechanical noise was amplified.
