Hello everyone
I've finally started to look at my Lister Junior that I bought as a non-runner a little while ago
Compression always felt low and when turning the flywheels, they don't turn as freely as they should, it's always as if there's something binding slightly
I've taken the hopper off to look at the valves, piston etc. The bore is badly scored but the flywheels still seem tight

What else should I be checking for this problem?
I was hoping not to have to perform a complete strip-down Crying or Very sad

Thanks in advance
John

Possible tight big end bearing, these are a split shell so if not shimmed right would bind on the crank, could just be that everything is "dry" and in need of some oil, camshaft bearings could be dry, I'd oil everything and see from there.

Thank you, I’ll look into what you’ve suggested

The valve stem spring clips were quite mangled before I took them out, where can I get some replacements, can’t seem to find them anywhere Crying or Very sad
