From memory there should not be a gasket where the brass slide sits on the carb, I thought the slide ran metal to metal ?

Maybe maryalice will be along to advise if my memory needs to go to specsavers (or not).

Hi yes there is a gasket between carb and head but it just runs out if it does not fire straight away, and the brass slide fits into gasket and carb goes on top it must be flooding i am thinking

Maybe a picture of the carb would help.

Sadly I've been out of the loop this last week and only just picked this up, Blue Cat sorry to hear your memory need to go to specsavers. there should not be a gasket as suggested the slide runs metal to metal, if its leaking petrol chances are youve opened the fuel valve to much.

Maryalice

sadly, I've been ouut of the loop the last few day

Yes, just check rotation is correct, there are arrows on them to show you which way

Still yes, just check the threaded hole pattern in the base of both mags.
