Allen Scythe with Villiers Engine
Can anyone confirm that the engine is a Villiers Mk VIIIc or were there other Villiers with an Alloy Cowl? Also does anyone know where I could find a date for the scythe (serial 12109). It's in a state but cheap. A good winter project to go with the Parker concrete mixer once my health improves.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Allen Scythe with Villiers Engine
Have been doing some surfing. Have found out that it's probably a Mk. 11. Does that sound about right?

Thank you Paul. Just pulled it in today and it really needs help. Should be a good place to source parts. Haven't checked the engine yet.

Re: Allen Scythe with Villiers Engine
This evening I have been told that it is a 1943 Allen type T scythe with Villiers Mk.11 engine. Just in case anybody has the same problem.
