Hi Paul,
Seen it but i think i am too old to start motorcycling again, and the roads seem to have a high proportion of nutters who do not seem aware of motorcyclists.
Regards,
Keith.

Yes i see he describes it as part of a genset but the FT 35 (flat twin 350 cc)was a would you believe 350 cc douglas motorcycle, from memory the range were Douglas ft350, 80 plus and a 90 plus which were the sporting models eg: 80 plus mph and 90 plus mph i owned a 90 plus in i think latish 50s and it would really get on a good one would do over the ton, and before the war they made a flat twin motorcycle with a fore and aft cylinder arrangement and a quite large outside flywheel i new a guy who used one for sprint racing this was originally 600 cc and it was very quick he was seeing off more modern stuff and nearly always was fastest in his class it was running on straight thro pipes what a sound.

Keith.

Re: Douglas FT35
For anyone around Somerset we're having a talk on Douglas motorcycles by Billy Douglas on 25th March at the Old Down Inn, Emborough. Maybe a chance to find out more?
