Should I not say that there are also a lister D and another unidentified Petter I still have to dig out from another shed? The farm belongs an old farmer who lives up the road from my daughter - He mentioned he was calling the scrapman to clear his sheds as he was retiring but I managed to wangle a week to sort out anything useful. So far i've got got the PU8 and manual and a complete shaft with bearings and 8" drive wheel to make sawbench for an engine to drive.

Tidy! Lucky to find one so intact as most loose the frame, will be a juicy bugger on a saw bench tho....

I rallied one for several years, it only had two faults, very noisy and it used petrol faster than I could pore it into the tank but I loved it, just remembered a third problem, the manual states its a two man lift, that should read Geoff Capes and his twin, make a removable trolley before you do anything else. I found at Colchester Auctions a pump which fitted directly onto the front shaft and when running it it could shift water.

Just spotted its missing its tool box which sat on the slopeing sides and does it still have its oil pressure telltale, its a button that doesnt appear to do anything, when the engine is of the button is down and up when the engine is running, the buttons used to stick up all the time.

A real barn find! Makes you wonder what else is still hidden away...

I bought three of them off the Oz army,one unused.......all have the flat box.....and somewhere at a swap ,I found the spares box....valves ,springs,carby parts,two sets of piston rings......unfortunately the box is shoddily made and has fallen to pieces ........have not got a book ,and would like a manual..............Incidentally,they are meant to run via a flex drive ...the short one for the outboard leg,the long one for a centrifugal pump......I also had one of the outboards.stern dive legs,but a tealeaf stole it ......yeah ,someone I know ,and a collector......said individual is always saying Ive got too much.....so he thieves some of it.
