I have a problem with my WD2, I cant adjust the throttle when its running, can anyone help?

If the speed doesn't increase when you pull the control knob out against spring pressure then it has probably become disconnected somewhere. You may see something if you remove the tappet sideplate.

When you open up the side plate you will see the bronze governor arm.Have a look at the bolt on the end of it, sounds to me the bolt is screwed in too far.
