Generator RPM
For a project which I have got my head in to, I am stuck for knowing what RPM of the 2.2 and 2.8 generators (as sold at B&Q etc) is to obtain 240 volts. Many Thanks, Bill

they will be cheap 2 pole alternators requiring 3000rpm to achieve 230v @ 50hzstal190 wrote:For a project which I have got my head in to, I am stuck for knowing what RPM of the 2.2 and 2.8 generators (as sold at B&Q etc) is to obtain 240 volts. Many Thanks, Bill

Re: Generator RPM
Having repaired a few of these, I can confirm that they are of the 2 pole variety.....
2 versions exist, self excited, no avr and excited with avr.....difficult to tell from the outside, it's not until you remove the cover unless it says on the outside somewhere.........
