What engines do we all have then?
Lets see some photos of what we have got lurking in our sheds....I'll go first! Apologies for some of the photos, taken on my phone!
1931 Lister D shafty, bought it a few weeks back, currently having a mechanical restoration, she is looking much better now, has a very large heavy flywheel, so we think its a 1hp even though its badged as a 1.5, she has cleaned up quite well now with some original paint, watch this space for when she is back together!
1945 Lister F, bought her in june, new trolley, and a bit of work to get it running properly, runs nice and slow like a D now instead of revving away at 1300
c.1935 Moteur Bruneau Superbloc, purchased last winter as a non runner, magneto drive made, mag fitted, new trolley etc
1932 Villiers WAH WX11 fitted to an Alfa Laval milking set, engine bought as a runner, milking plant mechanically restored by me about 6 years ago, when I first started in showbusiness
1946 Bamford EG1, bought as a non runner in 2010, new trolley, sold it last year, and It came back again!
1945 Wolseley WD2, purchased as a non runner last summer, have fitted new rings, new mag and a trolley
1938 Ruston PT, purchased winter 2011 as a non runner, as a tank cooled engine, but have converted it to hopper cooling as I prefer it.
This is how it looked when I bought it, hideous!!
1951 Petter W1, bought in 2010 as a non runner, and put on the trolley, the first time I ever showed it a governor weight flew off and ruined all the gears inside, luckily at the rally there was a rough old A1 in the auction so I bought that and robbed the gears
1942 Fowler 1PA, Swapped it a couple of years ago for a Scott PAB, the magneto is away for repair at the moment so she will probably not get rallied this season now, she picked up a trophy at three okefords last year
1946 Avon (Bradford) drag saw engine, bought as a runner spring 2011, but has had a new trolley and a few minor tweaks
1956 Japy TY2, purchased in 2011, then I sold it on, and it came back again last year, has had new trolley, a problem with the main bearings sorted but it has taken a lot of tweaking to get her running right, starts and runs well now but was very tempermental to begin with

Re: What engines do we all have then?
thought about time i should add a few on my collection ...been shrinking latley but only to clear a bit of room for more projects ..
IHC M 3 hp it has run but need a bit of work to get fuel tank in and fuel fitting with fuel pump and remove crankcase cover to fit another bearing in .
Lister A which has been rallied quite a lot in the last season ,thinking the fuel tank would look better if was to paint it a mat black or with grate black .
amanco chore boy 1 3/4 hp latest project which just needs finishing and putting on a trolley once its been made .
Fowler 1pa needs finishing with a exhaust and the carb needs sorting .
joseph evans no2 pump ready to rally , needs a clean from the dust from great dorset .
Fairbanks morse headless had this one around a year now runs but needs a trolley making and a repaint along with a fuel tank but that the winter project .

Re: What engines do we all have then?
exactly since having a clearout i have got more space so you can see whats coming ..... but i really must finish some of the others 1st .Lewis MacRae wrote:That would be nice!
Plus i will be after a wolseley wd to run a power hacksaw for cutting steel ..... i know would be easier just to bolt a electric motor under it you say but where is the fun in that .... ? and dont want to be upsetting neighbours so a wd is nice and quiet was going to have a lean to or a small shed where i can house it in .

Pete , i think you need to get something done with your bernard !
With the amount of engines you got you could have your own private rally !
