engineering facilities Empty engineering facilities

Hi everyone I am currently working on an allen scythe and I needed some studs for mounting a villiers 25c engine on the gearbox , the original engine was a four stroke and was beyond economic repair. Now having no suitable dies for making some I approached a small local engineering firm and received a pleasant surprise in that they were very helpfull and only to pleased to make me some. While I was there I got talking to the two brothers who run the place and it turns out they make one off machines and various components mainly for the aero industry and while they are machining various bits on cnc lathes and what have you they often have an odd hour to do some back to basic works. So by the time I came out I had my studs and I have got them to weld a bracket on a stuart turner gen set which is my next project . All in all they seem very friendly and able to take on most work and to top it all they dont talk in telephone number prices. Now I know a lot of people have their own machining capabilities but if like me you need somewhere to go for odd bits it seems like a decent place. So if anyone is interested I can supply details

Please give us an idea where they are.

If its Herts, I'm interested. If Scotland, maybe not.

Hi Kev - as woody says - I'm always interested in finding good people to work with but it depends on location - where are they based Squire?

Kev,

It may be an idea to put there details in the "Suppliers" section, its free advertising for them and saves you replying to everyone.
