Parker Pump
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but it is a pump. Just been working on a Parker pump as it stopped working last year so I took the top valves out and gave them a bit of a clean and will make some new gaskets as well. Cutting it a bit fine as need it for 18/19 May but ha ho. Also a picture of some frost damage found on the wolsely.

Re: Parker Pump
Looks like you've plenty to keep you busy over the next few days. Have you just found the crack or has it been there for a while and not leaked?

Re: Parker Pump
Stu's right. You need to be careful what you buy off them, a lot of those Indian parts are made of sub standard materials. & I found out recently that cheaper stuff, like Chinese metals, can not only be difficult, but can even be dangerous, to machine.
But some of their stuff is OK I suppose. Like their transfers maybe??? I certainly wouldn't bother with their paint, I know some people like it but I'm not a fan & I believe much of it still contains lead, which is a bit naughty in this day & age.
(hang on, the text box has changed. when did that happen then??? It's gone all curvy looking & the smilies have been banished to a hidden box)

Re: Parker Pump
I find mail ordering paint is quite expensive anyway. Many parcel carriers won't transport it & it's heavy old stuff, so postage tends to make it expensive. I like to support independent local suppliers for stuff like that. We always complain when small local independent paint shops disappear, so it's best to support them as much as possible.
