Lister Domestic
Hello all .
Im looking for some fats and figures about these pumps .
What sort height could these pump up to in good general condition and what is the optimum pipe size inlet and outlet without loosing too much pressure .
Basically i have 2 coolers . One is a trickle cooled which will be fed by a top tank and the other is a in churn cooler .
My idea is to have 1 pump , the outlet comes out goes up the side of the cooler where would be a T where one pipe would go into the water cooling through the inner core and flow through come out the outlet and that would feed my in churn cooler and the go into a tin bath for the sump . Where the other part of tee would go to the top tank and trickle down the outer cooler and return into a milk churn .
That would mean i would therefore have 2 sumps for 1 pump could i just have both pipes going to a tee and then to my pump's suction ??
With the trickle part of the system i was think putting in a gate valve but with a small 5 mm hole drilled through so could not be shut completely there fore slowing the flow for the trickle cooler and the majority going through the core and through the in churn cooler .
Would this work ?
Cheers , Matt

Re: Lister Domestic
i have seen that site before , i would rather buy a old one and rebuild it as parts are readability available.
Seems like will have plenty of pressure to do what i want . will need to have a think about the pipework situation , to go copper and flexi or iron pipe and flexi . ....

Re: Lister Domestic
Matt, I don't think anyone on here could do the maths to see if it will work, so could be down to trial and error me thinks. I don't think the distance from the pump to the exhibit will matter to much but you might have to see which pipe sizes works best. Have a word with Pete he should have some ideas.
