Petter PA2 Twin Cylinder
I must have the bug bad, just spent 25 quid on a petter pa2.
Turns over ok and just needs the odd piece or two to get it running again, nothing big, only the Magneto, Carb, Fuel line and a few other little bits.
Soon as I have some photo's I will put them on here.
Any ideas where I can begin looking for the small parts that are missing.

Ah! So it was you who bought it! That was re-listed twice, I was going to buy it myself, I even had a snipe set up on my account, but I went off to buy the Stuart Turner & had a good idea I would be coming home with Abes' Scott PAB that day, so I cancelled the snipe. Good job too, I didn't want to bid against another forum member & I just haven't got the room or the money for another engine right now.
Personally I would de-solder one end of the fuel tank, to remove that dent & give it a good clean out, then re-solder it back in. It needs a mag, it's a WICO A on those, any Petter a type WICO A will do, then you'll need to find the rotor arm & distributor cap to go with it. (at least I think that's how it works)
I think the carbs on these are exactly the same as the single cylinder models, I think it'll also need the bit of wire connecting the throttle to the governor.
Also, that exhaust manifold could probably be welded back up, it looks like someone's tried to lift it by it & snapped it off.
Am I making any sense???
Well done anyway, these are pretty rare on the rallyfield round here, I look forward to seeing it come to life.

Yep, I was looking at that one myself, quite a bit of work needed but it could be a lot worse.
I'm not sure about converting a normal Wico A type mag to run a twin but I'm sure there are a couple of guys on here who can give you a definite answer. I'll bet she's a hefty old lump as well
The only reason I didn't buy it is that I've got enough projects on the go at the moment and not enough space to do them in! Good luck with it mate and keep us informed

Re: Petter PA2 Twin Cylinder
Thanks all
Yes she was a lump to move but it only took two of us to get her in and out of the car.
You are right about the exhaust, will try and get it re-welded.
When I can get the engine in under cover and strip it down I will then find out if there is anything else wrong.
The old owner did have the other parts but started to sell them off ,so as you know I am on the hunt.
