Lister D carburettor
The carb inlet has a brass end plate under this is a sprung valve? it is held in place by a a long threaded sleeve with a lock nut for adjustment.
The valve is rusted solid in the threaded sleeve and I can not move it. Any sugestions please or is this a part that one can replace.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Chris,
I take it you have gave it a good soak in wd40?
If you have try soaking it in diesl for a few days, if you dont have diesl, try some coke cola.(i use the proper stuff, not the cheep supermarket stuff)
Before you try to slacken it, try and tighten it a fraction, its sometimes just enough to disturb the corrosion and it will come out then.

Hi Chris,
Give the Diesl a go then mate, but leave it soaking for a few days, then like i say tighten a wee bit, then try and slacken, hopefully that will free it off.
