Lauson Open Crank Engine
Hello all
Well i finally found a 1 1/2HP engine I think it is anyway as theres no Brass plates on it. The engine was supplied to delaval to go on a delaval milk machine. The base is still with the engine but unfortuantly the pump isnt.
The engine Was bought from us tractors And was a recent import. The engine was bought as a non runner. but after cleaning the carburettor and sorting a dodgey HT lead it now runs well.
The engine didnt like the engine degreaser though as it took the paint off.
So now looks a bit patchy so will now be restored earlier than expected. Within the next couple of days..
The engine is missing the oiler but seems to blow back through the oil pipe does anyone no why this could be which causes it not to oil properly from one of the other oilers i have.
Does anyone no what colour a lauson should be.
hope you like it.
Many thanks lewis

Re: Lauson Open Crank Engine
hello all
Thanks for the comments
Have now made a new trolley for the engine and have just ordered a new spark plug it takes a 22mm champion W18. At 8.49 a spark plug i hope i never need to buy another.
The engine now needs a drip oiler and i need to clean the petrol tank out throughly as i think theres still a bit of old fuel in there and its stopping it running right.
But otherwise im very happy with it.
Lewis
