letter painting
hi is there any easy way of letter painting on engines, eg wolseley panal if i was paint the letters a different colour, is there any easy way or is it just the case of a steady hand
this may sound thick
but whats the tracing paper forstationary stu wrote:Tracing paper and a steady hand and turn the engine off .

Get a nice fine paint brush not to much paint on it at a time and away you go

Say you wanted the lettering red, and the engine green...
You could paint the whole engine red, then paint it again in green leaving just the lettering in red...
That way you avoid the use of small brushes... genius!!!

OR
use the same shade of green to do your lettering with and then knowbody will see the mistakes

im very gratefull
lettering.
paint your engine the colour you require, then with the chosen colour for the lettering apply it with a fine sponge using a dabbing motion. don't put too much paint on the sponge try first with the sponge nearly dry. any over painting can be covered after with a small brush with the paint from the engine colour. i've used this technique on my own engines and i am a trained signwriter.
