Well i hooked it up to that Sattley and got a little power from it,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HAS7b2mATY
I need to try it on the norman really will run it abit faster!
Can anyone advice on what else i could try, the voltage was lower then it should be! unless im measuring it wrong?
Anyone want to swap for a pump or compressor lol

Re: operation Dynamo.
Well its working!
Just need somthing to run off it! would like to save up for a search llight!
Mike, check your field windings, connected mine to the + output and it sorted it!
The sattley wont spin it fast enough on the pulley, will see if i can find a a bigger fan belt and try off the flywheel
Cheers Steve

Re: operation Dynamo.
Tried the Dynamo out again, will look at tiding it up over the winter. Does anyone else get this issue with photobucket screwing up the photos?
Im getting between 12-16v on tick over on min current, with a bit more speed and the current set to its highest im getting 40+ depening on speed.
will try and think of what to run on it, Im worried that the voltage going up and down like that will blow what bulbs I put on it.
Sorry Mike I think Im going to keep it until I hear more on where im going.
Cheers Steve

Re: operation Dynamo.
Well I varnished up some wood for a simple base, going to dump the jap mounting base, I dont have a use for it.
Still trying to think of a Lighting display.
I would like to do something like this, but Ohms law says I dont have the power!
Will see what I can do with a few less bulbs!
Cheers Steve

Re: operation Dynamo.
you could use 12/24 volt bulbs to make a board up......
seen lots of them like that,a mate of mine has a 12 volt generator running a load of lights,
he was at ERICS rally this year with the words AMANCO HIRED MAN all lit up,
you must have seen it as you were there...

Re: operation Dynamo.
Right Little update on the Dynamo, as it was needed to get the scott to run about right.
It has been fitted with a Taper Lock pulley of about 4 inches, I even managed to find the pullet Key .
So I was looking for some lights, I was looking at running some bulbs, but checking out the price of bulbs and holders I decide to have a look around ebay, after a few searches I turned up this.
Its a 24v ex military lamp, not sure what off but should give the dynamo something to run!
Next thing to do is to work out how to wire it up!
Cheers Steve

Re: operation Dynamo.
Nice looking lamp Steve, is it a search light of some kind? or just some type of vehicle spot light, can you see what size bulb fits it?

Should have it hooked up to the Scott at Henham and IF EOS, well could used something to rest it on!

Re: operation Dynamo.
Steve looks as if you can hook a lot more to that dynamo as the light was very bright and there seemed to be little change to the engine revs. In fact I'd say that it could blow the bulb there's that much power available. What's it like in real life in case I'm not getting the right view n video.
