Hello everyone, I’m Martin and have bought a Petter a11 to get working with my Down’s Syndrome son. He’s very clever and has just finished a mz rtl 125, a rare motorcycle, only 6 in the country. We have had to remove the cylinder head because of no compression. We have found that we can’t replace them, so please help us if you can. We also build radio controlled boats, wooden frame kayak and engraving. That’s enough for now and hope you will be in contact soon.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

As Haynes, the great oracle of engines says "Replacement is the reverse of removal"!
Great help that is.
If your head gasket is copper it can be reused, but anneal it first to soften it.

Tinkering is a great learning tool.

I wasn’t sure whether to use a little heat, so appreciate your input. You never know what you’ll find when you’re working on mechanical things.

Best to ask questions / seek advice in your main Restoration thread. More likely that members will see them.

I see you've also asked on FB. The guy who replied to you is probably a scammer, as there can't be very many Petter A11 cylinder heads in Missouri USA.

I did begin to wonder, especially as you said that I could not believe how easily he was finding parts. I contacted an engine rebuilder in Par Cornwall Autotech cylinder heads near me, he said to bring it in. We gave him the cylinder head and he put it through a lot of expensive machines, the quality of his work was very good. When he finished I asked what we owed for his work and he said it’s free, I could have went through the floor. We are excited to carry on and finish it.
