restoration of a Petter W1
Hi,
Can any body help me with a couple of questions please?
can you date my engine by the number it has on a small brass plate 561565?
also on stripping the engine down I discovered the inlet valve guide to be broken, I belive both guides to be the same but does any body have a spare they could sell me please?
I also belive the A1 has the same guides, Engine spares list 1 in stock but it's not the same as mine.
As a first engine restore I'm hoping the internet will put me in touch with somebody to help me, Please!

UPDATE:
A good friend of mine has provided the correct date for this engine of 29th June 1950.
NOTE: Polite requests for Petter dating are still being answered on enquiry though the IF website.

Re: restoration of a Petter W1
That’s very kind of you, thank you very much.
That’s almost 73 years old, I’m amazed by that!
Just need the valve guides now.
Thanks again for the information
