new member from sunny Kent!
Afternoon all, waiting excitedly for tomorrow I shall be collecting my first stationary engine(s).... always have had an interest for all things engine related, I came across a pair of engines for sale on the Bay, a Lister and a Bamford...deal done and I'm collecting tomorrow, I shall post more information or photos once I've got them home, expect many questions....

Good luck hope it all goes to plan.

Not too far from me then, I'm in Longfield. Luckily I'm the same, the wife allows for my various hobbies, preserved railways, motorbikes and obviously stationary engines.

Re: new member from sunny Kent!
Well, quick update, the Bamford stuck valve is now unstuck!!I sprayed some Gt85 all over the valve and it has freed it up, unfortunately the same bodge didn't work with the Lister...
I've had a reply from Doreen, the Lister is 1949, I've ordered a couple of books from her.. Ive turned both engines over with plug removed and still connected, no sark on either engine, but I felt a shock from the Bamford!
because there seems to be a lot more information/spares for the Lister, I've decided to work on that first, the knowledge gained from that should hopefully help when doing the Bamford, many thanks for all the welcomes, so looking forward to the road ahead!
