Well I very recently tried to sell the CS but no takers.  Crying or Very sad Not surprising really I supose due to it being advertised as very difficult to start.

Due to poor compression it was a right 'work-up'  to get it going the last time I tried it which was probably over a year ago so today I decided to take a look into the reason for the poor compression. What I discovered was that the two top compression rings were gummed-up and partly stuck in their grooves. After a wee soak with good old "Plus Gas" the rings freed off OK so I then carefully removed them and cleaned the grooves and lands.
Next job will be to make a new cylinder base gasket and reassemble.
I removed the inlet and exhaust valves removed the carbon deposits and lapped the valves in.
Fingers crossed that she will now start first crank like used to before going on the extended lay-up. Thumbs Up
