Now I started I cant stop
Hello,
Since I spent some money I cant stop!!!
I should have another new engine in the UK on Sunday, all going well, just need to go up North to get it.
Needs a little work, but looks all there, well please.
Cheers Steve

Wow very smart looking engine Steve and very rare ? Must be proud of that, so could this be a temporary end to your engine collecting or am I being silly

Re: Now I started I cant stop
Well it I have heard its one of a Possible 20, this might be 21. there was a small production of maybe less then 500 from 1930 to 1945, but from what I have read this covers all the models in the S range this having a serial number of 25. the SE was a tank cooled engine with flat belt pulley, SM was tank cooled with a flexible 'spider' coupling for direct drive. SMR was radiator cooled, the single known SR which is the model this one is was not described,
Yea a stop to my buying now, Got a couple of uncommon engines now, the Stuart flat twin is 1 of 11 on the register but there must be more out there, paid the price for that one though, this one was a bargin to anyone money, I couldnt buy a Lister D for the same money!
Plus the Sattley is not so often seen in this country, though can be seen under other names.
What can I say I like the small and unusual.
Cheers Steve

I have to say I like the oilers on the top, that's the first thing I noticed about the engine, Makes it stand out in the crowd.

Hello,
Took a trip north with my Overdue wife, see if the roads up north would shake the baby out lol
While I was up there I picked up my new beauty!

Re: Now I started I cant stop
As you can see the baby didnt come today so put the day to good use.
was woken up early and the bits for the stuart didnt come so got stuck in with the scott, got carried away and done more then I planned to.....had a look inside and all seems good, removed all the lovely orange instant gasket, stripped the paint under coated and just put a top coat on, undercoat was left on for the specified drying time, before anyone asks....
got the flywheel off with the aid of a BIG spanner...not me! a couple of nice governor weights.
Good days work all in all!
Cheers Steve
