Hi All,
Thanks for the add.
Stationary engines have always fascinated me and I have recently purchased a Lister A30H. It looks a bit worse for wear and needs a lot of TLC but I am looking forward to the challenge and hopefully, satisfaction of getting it up and running again then restoring with the original colours. Also looking forward to absorbing the information on this forum and receiving all your advice, knowledge and help. Thanks in advance
Martin

Hi Martin and a warm welcome to the forum. Plenty of advice and expertise here. Please start a new thread in New Projects/Restorations and post a few pictures when you able.

Tutorial here:

If you can give us all the details from the engine plate, I've no doubt you'll get chapter and verse and, probably, a date.

PS. Can you narrow down the location? I'm a regular visitor to Filey, Whitby and the like.

Many thanks
I live in Hunmanby near Filey.
I have bought a rather rusty old Lister A30H.Have been messing about with it for a few weeks and earlier today actually got it running for longer than 15 seconds.
I will start a new project topic this weekend with a few photo's,time permitting. The plan is to get running as best I can and then complete strip down and restoration. possibly rally near home.
There is a Game and Country fair at Scampston Hall near Malton next weekend and there are usually quite a few stationary engines there. Anyone rallying then let me know and I will say hello and if possible, pick your brains

Scampston Hall is a decent do. Would have been there but a didn't check dates before planning a fishing trip! Rolling Eyes
Enjoy!
