Hello and thanks for adding me, I’m Matt , I’m based in Kent/East Sussex and am currently in the process of bringing a Bentall 4hp petrol/paraffin engine back to life, it has been in our family’s ownership for over 80yrs but we have never seen it run so as soon as I can identify the correct mag hopefully we will be in business.

Hi Matt  and a warm welcome to the forum.
Please post a few pictures in New Projects/Restorations when you able.
Can't be sure but I think some Bentalls had a Bosch magneto - no doubt someone will know.

Had a bit of a surf and I believe it might be a Bosch BA1.
