Lister D oil
Can someone kindly advise me on oil please? I have a number of Lister D documents and, unless I am being dim, entirely possible, I cannot see how much she takes.
Also, those more experienced than me - what grade do you use please?
Thank you.

Re: Lister D oil
I use this:
Morris SAE30
Don't use modern multigrade oils they all contain detergents which hold on to sludge and transport it to the filter for removal, our engines don't have oil filters the sludge settles out in the bottom of the crankcase.
On a Lister 'D' just fill up until the oil reaches the top of the filler spout.
