bsa dating.

Hi folks.Just taken possession of a bsa stationary engine.Looking at u tube its a 49cc .Was told it was 4 stroke side valve.Would like to know its age.Numbers on it are 5 0 b 1883.Small and red with the petrol on/off inside the tank.any help would be appreciated. regards threerivers.

Hi. thanks for welcome.Had a small jap before but did nothing with it and gave it to a s.e.owner I met at a car show along with some very old iron wheels found on a coal bing.Anyway sending photos is beyond me .Im quite good with machines and hopeless with computers etc. thanks again. threerivers
