Perusing Ebay and saw this...

Villiers SC12? Sc1210

An SC12, not a model I've heard of, is it a C12 with the S added to denote a specific use? looks like it may have driven a generator.

I saw that, looks like someone thinks they'll make more selling it in bits... it looks the same colour as my Warsop pump and there was a Warsop generator/lighting plant on there a while ago.

There's another one listed: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Norton-Villiers-SC12-Engine/223603845189?hash=item340fd3e845:g:b2IAAOSwAutdPoPs

And this would good on the shelf: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Norton-Villiers-SC12-Engine/223603845189?hash=item340fd3e845:g:b2IAAOSwAutdPoPs

I saw that one too, looking at the plug cap, toggle switch and labels I reckon it's early 80's?, still like to know what the "S" stands for though as they have added other letters that can make sense before, e.g. RG - Reduction Gear, KS - Kick Start etc.

Could the S be for electronic ignition on these late engines ??

Just a wild guess on my part confused
