My latest ebay purchase arrived yesterday... little compressor made by Bristol Pneumatic Tools Ltd of Fishponds, Bristol.

Anyone know if Halfords stock 'Brismatic' grease? I'd hate to void the warranty... Very Happy

Home made air cleaner, I can remember my Dad using 'Rozalex barrier cream years ago.

And this is the idea for it.

I was hoping it would only need a cosmetic restoration, but it's seized (the pulley is turning on the shaft) so a strip down is in order. I'll keep you updated.

Before struggling any further with the pulley I decided to investigate why it was seized...

The bore is in the same state, looks like it's been full of water. I've pretty much got a garden ornament... Sad

I may try to free it off, I did get the bottom end to move a bit with the head nuts off so the cylinder moved with the piston. The difficulty is getting to the bore to clean it up, the conrod passes through a slot in the crankcase and the piston is nearly at TDC.

At the end of the day, I've nothing to lose.
