Re: I tried to resist.....but couldn't
As we have a small rally at Arkwright Mills at Cromford on Sunday I thought I would have another go at finding out why the Coborn wont start.
Although I had gone around the carb already when I opened it up for the second time I found a speck of rust in the main jet, cleaned it, put it back together and third turn of the handle it fired up.
It seems to run great. I want to try to slow it down a bit more but am pleased with the result so far.
Did a quick video of it running in the workshop doorway, I'll post a better video after the rally this Sunday.

The Coborn C3 engine is designed to run at 2000 rpm with splash oil lubrication.
Slowing it down significantly may affect the lubrication efficiency.
