Petter A1 Trouble Starting

Rebuilt my Petter A1. Will not start but almighty back fire on turnover. All timings checked many times, seem Ok. Magneto sparks twice at before TDC and TDC on second revolution . any cures please.

Are you sure you have timing OK - keyway on shaft at six o'clock.
Magneto not replaced 180 degrees out?
