Villiers MK25?
See pics below. Can anyone confirm that this is a Villiers MK25 and maybe date?
There is a barely discernible number 25 and engine number is 961/7519 A. I'm also curious about the additional stores number plate.

Many Thanks

Looks like a 25, mine has a Zenith carb but that was on a rotovator so a high speed version. Your stores plate is for the Air Ministry.

Excellent. Thanks Pete.
Can anyone suggest why they seem to have doubled up on the starter pulley?

Re: Villiers MK25?
they usually have engines in a carry frame , so think the extension was just to make starting easyer
there maybe a finely stamped production year on the inside of the hinge rear shroud door,if your looky, this will give you a window of about 1mnth to 2 years, as cowlings were ordered annualy not monthy. should be 1950 upwards as 1940s production were the v engines no villiers made ins or castrol xl on fillers ect so as not to give the ww2 enamy any clues for targets, as villiers also in this time produced munitions for the war effort

Thanks Kev. Have another gold star
Can't see any year on door and of what little remains of the printing on engine plate clearly says Villiers Wolverhampton England - so not a wartime version I guess.
