Hello All,

Newbie to the forum, looking for anyone the has any information on the elusive 75cc 2 Stroke Vincent motor that went in the Amanda Water Scooter. Always been looking for a Vincent project and since the budget would not allow for a Rapide, I ended up with a Amanda Project. Hull is in good shape but will need work to get it back to original. I just freed up the piston last night after what I presume has been at least 20-30 years, otherwise in good shape. I think the next and maybe only part I currently need is a set of points. If anyone has any info they can share, I would greatly appreciate it. I have reviewed the Vincent posts currently here.

Thanks in advance!

John

Hello John I was wondering if you’d ever sell you Vincent engine. I am in need of one to finish my project.

Hello and welcome! welcome sign

I don't know what kind of info you are looking for but there has been an article on the Vincent engine/Amanda in Stationary Engine magazine in the past.

I thought that the Amanda water scooter used twin cylinder Vincent engine, but I may be wrong .....

A bit scorchio around the pool so came in to cool off. Did a bit of browsing and found the following.
According to The Watercraft Journal,
The Amandas went through three engine configurations, the first being the original air-cooled single-cylinder 2-stroke 75cc model. That was followed by a 2.1-horsepower 100cc version of the 75cc motor, and finally a 200cc twin rated at 5.6 horsepower, using the same bore and stroke as the 100cc single.
One sold at auction in 2011 with spare engine (!!!) for £112.50.
Another one went for £2295 in 2021
